Protection device

DEVICE FOR THE PROTECTION OF ROTATING PARTS
DURING TRANSPORT

(ONLY FOR WHEELS Ø mm. 65.)

Several of our Customers were experiencing difficulties in transporting the already assembled seats, at the time of unloading and delivery to the Customer. In fact, they often needed to travel short distances, dragging the seat on unsuitable surfaces.
As a result, the wheels were often dirty at the time of delivery. To solve the problem, we designed and patented a special plastic cover, with pull tab, to be applied to the two rotating parts.
  • Red-colored protective device, for H-type wheels;
  • Yellow-colored protective device, for conductive type wheels;
  • blue-colored protective device, for W-type wheels.

Double wheel "EMIRING"

It is well known that revolutionizing the design and consequent construction technique of a wheel is a very challenging task.

Emilsider whose 50th anniversary was celebrated in 2013, on the strength of an exceptionally trained and motivated team, wanted to try.

With the contribution of new materials and new technologies, it was possible to reconcile design with good functionality. The "emiring" is able to exceed the most stringent requirements of EN 12529 and BIFMA X 5.1 standards and can be produced in multiple versions and colors, with a range of accessories as standard or at the customer's request.

To protect the model and construction technique, Emilsider has patented the "emiring" in Europe, the United States, Canada, China, India, Japan and Brazil. the customer only needs to make sure that each specimen is marked with the "EMI" logo to ensure the originality and functionality of the product.

"EMIRING" SAFETY BRAKE

The safety brake to Standard EN 12529 for office chairs requires that when the chair is unloaded, that is, before the user sits down, the casters are lightly braked and do not give the chair a chance to slip off when the user sits down.

The safety brake, at present, is only required by regulation for the European market.

For this reason, Emilsider has designed the "emiring" wheel with safety brake, to EN 12529 standard, but with the possibility of decreasing and/or deactivating the braking force. This version is realized by means of a special screw system, inserted in the lower part of the wheel. The user, with the help of a standard Phillips screwdriver, can turn the screw clockwise and thus decrease and/or deactivate the braking force, and in the latter case the wheel is to BIFMA X 5.1 standard.

This version can meet the needs of all markets.

HOOKING PIN WITH PLASTIC BUSH No. 422

The traditional pin used to attach casters to steel or aluminum bases generally causes an annoying metallic noise when the chair is in motion; to solve this inconvenience, we have designed patented and manufactured an attachment pin with a steel snap ring to which a special plastic insert is riveted using a special technology.

CONDITIONS FOR VALIDITY AND WARRANTY

The above warranty term is valid only if the following usage methods are followed:

1° Choose the most appropriate type of tread in relation to the characteristics of the floor:
  • Wheels with hard rolling bands for textile fiber surfaces, or similar
  • Wheels with soft rolling bands for granite, ceramic, marble, wood, or similar surfaces. Obviously, use on uneven or highly abrasive surfaces such as concrete, asphalt, or the like will result in forfeiture of the warranty

2° The warranty is valid if the wheels are used for one shift. Extended use for two or three shifts for all days of the year, including holidays, automatically reduces the warranty to one year.

3° For electrically conductive wheels, the warranty is 2 years, provided that, in addition to following the recommendations mentioned in items 1-2-3, the rolling strips are also cleaned periodically. In fact, dirt that accumulates and sticks to the bands produces an insulating layer that lowers, in extreme cases, nullifies conductivity.
NOTE
The spring is the element that distinguishes wheels with brakes from those without.
The exploded view of the wheels without brake is identical with the exclusion of the spring.
